How many would advocate that either pub matches change to the point of not allowing squads , meaning that now Domination , Skirmish , Ambush ( which shouldn't be squad based anyway .. it's an ambush match and should be a team versus team free for all anyway , duh .. ambush ) and Acquisition , would not allow ready made stomp squads in competition .
Or create a way where those who make squads , only go against others who create squads with random players filling the rest of the 16 , be that necessary .
Now I believe for the most part that the problem exist because the matchmaking continuously places random players against teams that have squads on the opposition .
This causes people to leave games and the continuous poisonous stomping that stagnates the players base .
Now you can blame the PS3 all you like but on a system that marketed this game as a F2P , there should be a greater player base but the environment be it the player base and or the performance of the game which is riddled with bugs that are old as the existence of the game , had caused the game to remain stagnant in the face of constant changes ( be they positive or irrelevant ) .
No one that I've seen has address one of the REAL issues of the game and that's it's community and the poison nature there of .
People make post trying to talk down to those who leave games and not allow themselves to become cannon fodder for those from known corporations who just feel the need to drop squads in PRO or OFC gear , even in situations were it's clearly overkill ... facing new / fresh out of the academy players or a team of random players .
This is just foolish and counterproductive and since NO ONE that I've seen , be they CPM ( which should speak about such issues / contentious problems ) community members or the powers that be .. GM and other DEV's . Everyone points the finger at the victim ( telling them that there wrong for not allowing themselves to get stomped ) or they just stay silent , all the while those that perpetrate .. stand on their soap boxes trying to guilt the public with no one standing up for the " cannon fodder " .
No integrity has lead to nothing being done .
Why don't those who conduct themselves in this manner want better for the community and the game in general ?
Why don't those who feel the need to OFC / PRO stomp with coordinated crews , just garner support for a better system .?. i.e: squads versus squads and random players against the like ?
Why wouldn't they like to play against other squads if their so competitive as to HAVE to squad stomp every match .?. why wouldn't you just want to face other players of similar mind frame ?
Is it that they REALLY don't like to go against EQUAL competition so they have to compensate by stomping uncoordinated and lesser players ?
Why does CCP continue to allow this ? It's killing and has killed the potential player base .
There are people who are purchasing a PS3 for the first time and believe it or not , the economy is horrible for a lot and most still cannot afford a PS4 or a gamming PC .
Potential numbers loss as well as needed revenue .
We can have new suit configurations , skins , power core idea's implemented as well as the warbarge but we can't get core problems fixed , be they performance issues ( rail weapons .. vehicle and infantry , still blank and ghost firing among other issues ) or the existent / nonexistent matchmaking process or MU but the set up , whatever it is ... simply is not working .
Sorry for making this long because few people have the patience and an attention span greater then a 3 year old these days with everything instant , I guess I'm ole school but I have a lot of feelings about this as one who cares about the general well being of the game , I could have said more but just know that many don't have the patience for it .. even if it could produce fruitful results .
We need to find a common ground and a solution to this so we can keep from creating a guilt complex against those who are suffering while not addressing those who are the problem and or what the problem is / where it stems from .

I don't know but I just feel that we can actually fix what we have and make it more beneficial for all parties involved but it will take some courage and that seems missing from the lot .
The stompers don't want the problem fixed and they don't want to face other stompers .
The casuals just want to play the game , progress and have fun .
There needs to be a common ground somewhere but again , that would take a move that's courageous and right now .. that just seems missing .
Not too many want to address this , they would rather point fingers and tell those that do not allow themselves to get stomped , that their wrong .
To me that's just foolish .
It's mostly players from well known corps that conduct themselves in this manner and with all the connections that they seem to have via YT , newsletter and podcast's ... this problem will not get solved , hell ... it won't even get addressed .
It hasn't so far and it's been going on for sometime now .

I personally believe that PC and FW should be squad based .
Pub matches should have the warbarge brought back , with allotted time for RANDOM players to create squads from a list of randomly generated players and I say this because it would be NPE friendly , causing random players to play together helping the have / knowledge not's ... showing them the in's and out's of the game , how to conduct themselves and or run a squad .
It would take the pressure off of the newer players , might just create better matches from spreading out the power structure in game .
I can go on about how it could benefit but I feel that I said enough and would like this to be a discussion and not an attempt to push my feelings on the community .
I just feel that this should be talked about without the finger pointing and guilt trip attempt towards those who suffer in game .
Ambush shouldn't have squads , it should be a free for all with a random mixture .
Hell , it is an ambush and it might make that mode even better .

Sicerly Yaw wrote:you have a lot of redundant information tied Who can give numbers that would make my argument's " valid " .?. since most just can't conceive anything that doesn't have numbers to back them up . I speak from experience and from knowledge from players that I have spoken to , asking them .. " How or what could be done to help their experience and make their experience more comfortable ? " .. you can look at it as " redundant " but the FACT is , it is a problem and nothing is being done about it and NO ONE is even attempting to address it . I am and I'm trying to bring people together to talk about this but if you need charts , numbers and figures ... the like , I'm not privy to then .. I apologize but that just won't happen .
Doesn't take the credibility out of the fact that this game is suffering in numbers , people complain about others leaving games and OFC and PRO stomping continues to be a problem .
If Q's are the problem then just eliminate them from pubs .

WyrmHero1945 wrote:I was a supporter of squad matchmaking back in the day. IIRC, Last of Us implemented this weeks after the game was released, to prevent squad stomping winning matches. Even though I could join a corp and play with its members in some game nights, I prefer going solo and rack SP at my own pace, at any hour. FW should be our squad mode pubs. That's what I'm talking about and joining a corp that exploits these methods just leads to more of the such .
I play solo as well but I do run in squads .
I tend to stay away from squads that just run PRO / OFC because that's just not me and I know better .
I don't see why people do it in pubs but not in FW and I play FW but don't come across the PRO / OFC stomping like I see going on in pub matches .
FW and PC I can understand but I just don't see this displayed in FW too much .
Mostly in pub matches though .

I'm not trying to put a meta limit on pub matches but a randomly generated system of random players with the warbarge as support / allowance to players who care to squad with and in the allotted time seems like a way to break up these Q's and stomp squads , while taking the pressure off of lesser players and actually give them a scenario where they would feel more comfortable and become more encouraged to fight because the teams would not be so stacked with players trying to exploit .
This might just lead to better matches or cause those who exploit stomping to rethink because the matches would and should become more contested .
Just a thought but something needs to be done and what's been going on so far hasn't helped .
I want people to run PRO if they like , I encourage you to run OFC gear but in a setting that causes it and doesn't exploit a system that clearly doesn't care about player growth or their experience and randomly formed teams in matches that allow time to squad without the Q's and PRO / OFC squad drops , might just do that .
These people would not conduct themselves if the odds were more even and if you say they would then , it would be more even and in a better setting then what we have at the moment .
At least it would give lesser players more of a chance .

Might as well make some good use of it .
Should have never gotten rid of it to begin with because it helped more then it hindered .

Operative 1174 Uuali wrote:I've been repeatedly saying on these forums and my CPM platform that pubs should be for he solo, casual and new player. As such, it would be no pre-mades or a solo and a separate squad version.
Also, no in game comms. I regularly play solo with no comms and I do just fine helping the team because I know what is needed and am willing to focus on that. I come from a military background too where you didn't talk during patrols, but used hans signals and knew what was needed without words. You paid attention to the situation and the leader.
Adding a means of sending short orders like EVE fleets would help. However, the point of pubs would be more free for all and loosy goosy. You join, play quickly and off to the next. No waiting, planning or listening to weird sounds.
This would go a long way toward balance without the need for complex algorithms for balancing teams in pubs.
Anybody that would want comms and premades in pubs is only there to stomp and can't compete in FW or PC. No other reason. I understand , I come from a military background as well as having relatives in important state / government positions that allowed me to see a lot more then my peers did at the time but I believe that some need coms as well as chat because some need instructions and guidance .
Even some that have played the game for sometime now need these things to become more efficient .
I don't knock those types even though the game is simple in it's base , it has a lot of complex layers to that so some might discuss strategy , some might need instruction and others might just want to communicate spots and pockets of enemy movements from looking at locations on the mini map .
All of these layers should be encouraged because this game is more then a point in the direction and shoot game .
It does have layers of strategy that should be highlighted .
If these methods help those who exploit stomping measures , think about how much more informative it would be in the hands of mixed teams of random players who are striving towards one goal as a team .
Some just know what to do no matter what situation their placed in and some need a nudge and guidance to a certain point until their self awareness kicks in and sometimes these are the ones who can bail you out of a tight spot and help when times get tough .
I understand what your saying though .
Me myself , I don't care to hear some of the things that some have going on in their backgrounds , it somewhat intrudes into the matters at hand .. even more so when your trying to focus but I wouldn't want to get rid of coms and chat , if anything I would want to find ways to streamline squad orders to help make them easier to use and understand / cancel .
I appreciate your point of view and input .
